Patient Choices Vermont (PCV) is pleased to collaborate with the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute of the University of Vermont (OLLI) to present:
Your Options, Your Autonomy at End of Life – Medical Aid in Dying under Vermont’s Act 39
Featuring: Toni Kaeding, MS RN, Board Chair
Date: Friday, October 28 from 1:30 – 3:00 PM
Location: The Godnick Adult Center, 1 Deer Street, Rutland, VT
Toni Kaeding will lead an open discussion about medical aid in dying under Vermont’s Act 39. This is an opportunity to learn, ask questions, and share stories. Topics will include medical aid in dying, who qualifies, and how it works, as well as the role of hospice and palliative care. She will discuss how to talk to your doctor, personal stories of end of life, and recent improvements to Act 39. PCV’s new Program Manager, Audrey Winograd, will also be attending. Audrey brings extensive experience counseling people with serious illness.
The Your Options Workshop promises to be a life affirming and empowering discussion.
