We’re excited to let you know about progress being made right now to make medical aid in dying legal in our neighboring state of New Hampshire. The New Hampshire End of Life Freedom Act, HB254, will be heard by the New Hampshire House Judiciary Committee on January 29. We invite you to join Patient Choices Vermont (PCV) in support of this critical, bi-partisan legislation. Here are several ways you can become engaged and show your support: by helping our friends and neighbors: ![]()
Patient Choices Vermont has been a leader in supporting medical aid in dying throughout our region for more than 22 years. We’ve worked closely with advocates in New Hampshire sharing our experience and expertise in making medical aid in dying an option. We have coached practitioners in New Hampshire who support their Vermont patients in accessing medical aid in dying in Vermont. The right to choice at the end of life matters to the thousands of Vermonters who receive care in New Hampshire at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center and who deserve access to the full range of end-of-life care options. With your support, Patient Choices Vermont is proud to be a leading voice for patient autonomy. Betsy Walkerman and Amy Bruce will be attending the New Hampshire hearing. They look forward to testifying once again in support of the End of Life Freedom Act, working to make this option available for all individuals in need today and in the future. Please join us by sharing your stories and values with the New Hampshire legislators. Or mail a check to:
