We are pleased to report that the Vermont Senate Committee on Health and Welfare voted on Thursday, April 14, 2023 to recommend House Bill 190, which would remove the residency requirement from our medical-aid-in-dying law, Act 39. The bill now goes to the full Senate for a vote. We encourage you to contact your Vermont state senator and ask them to support passage of House Bill 190. If you do not know who your senators are, simply click to look them up in this handy online directory. When you contact your senators, please briefly state your support for House Bill 190 and the importance of making end-of-life medical care available regardless of where you live. Also state what town you live in.
